Description including Unit Aims

This unit provides an introduction to the research methods used in archaeology - focusing in particular on landscape and maritime archaeology. It will cover the use of data bases, scientific applications and techniques, remote sensing, geophysics, air photography, recording and analysis of sites and buildings, use of archaeological and documentary sources, oral history, maps and historic illustrations.
