The unit will provide a structured and supervised opportunity for final-year students to pursue independently an agreed topic of interest within the areas of performance or screen media, emerging from their previous studies. The unit will enable the student to express the findings of that study through an appropriate combination of an extended and in-depth practical presentation with an extended essay, that realizes both a specific approach creatively to and a critical and scholarly exploration of an appropriate aesthetic or generic theme.
