This unit provides mainly practical training in techniques widely used in research into Palaeobiological topics. It includes preparation of macro- and microfossil specimens, statistical techniques to analyse palaeontological data, recording of palaeontological data in the field, production of publication-quality figure, and transferable skills useable outside palaeontology (e.g. photography, statistical software).
