This unit will be conducted in the form of a seminar/reading group. A focus on personal narratives and narratives of identity will be used to explore and critique different models of narrative analysis including approaches ot content, category, story and performance analyses. Temporal and spatial considerations as well as negotiations of subjectivity in relation to narrative and other forms of identity will be discussed. Opportunities will be provided for the situated practice and critical evaluation of various forms of narrative analysis.
