Description including Unit Aims

There has been an increasing interest in $post modern& therapies and in the impact of social constructionist/post structuralist ideas on therapeutic practices. This unit aims to introduce and explore the ideas and practices that have become know as narrative therapy. It will provide opportunities to explore and develop narrative therapeutic skills and practices, discuss their impact on individual therapeutic styles, and consider their influence as a wider force for change within the professional cultures of counselling and psychotherapy.
