Medieval Dream Visions


This unit will examine a narrative form popular throughout the Middle Ages. Texts studied will be Chaucer's The Book of the Duchess, The House of Fame, The Parliament of Fowls, and The Legend of Good Women; the elegy Pearl; narrative verse by Gower, Skelton, Henryson, Dunbar, James I of Scotland, and Charles d'Orlians.
