This unit has three main aims: establishing a writing life (ritual and routine), getting started (finding and developing your own voice), and reading as a writer. The emphasis will be on freeing the imagination by experimenting with different forms of writing. By the end of the unit students will have a clearer understanding of writing as both a process and a craft.
