This unit aims to introduce students to a broad range of methods for writing about life events. Students will be encouraged to explore autobiography as a genre in reading and to experiment with writing autobiography or using autobiographical material in fiction. There will be an emphasis on reading and discussing work in class, as well as on discussion of wider themes.
