Description including Unit Aims

The course examines the way a range of urban problems have been constructed and defined in UK cities in the post-war period, and analyses the evolution of policy responses and systems of urban governance. These developments are set within their wider political and ideological contexts, and individual policies evaluated in this light. The course also examines the possibilities for, and the constraints on, alternative urban visions and policies.
