Unit aims:

  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of human development and growth and the factors that influence normal development of key body systems.

Intended Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module students should :

  • have a comprehensive understanding of normal human embryology, development and growth
  • be able to describe factors that influence normal human development and growth
  • be familiar with routine clinical techniques for the measurement of fetal growth and identifications of common malformations.
