Business Strategy examines the classical approach to strategy, including the key phases of: understanding the strategic environment; developing strategic options; and selecting and implementing chosen strategies. At the same time, the principal objections to this approach are explored, and alternative perspectives of the strategy process are introduced in order to help students challenge taken-for-granted assumptions and develop their own appreciation of the nature of strategy.
