Description including Unit Aims

This unit comprises the balance of material essential mainly for a degree in a Physics or Physics-related programme consisting of matter in the condensed date including crystalline structures and free-electron theory, materials, semiconductors and magnets. This course is a pre-requisite for the Level M PHYSM0200 Statistical Physics, PHYSM1000 Magnetism and Superconductivity and PHYSM2100 Semiconductor Physics.
