This unit describes advanced applications of non-relativistic quantum mechanics to a variety of real physical problems including scattering by potentials and the quantum behaviour of particles in electro-magnetic fields, and introduces the basic ideas of relativistic wave mechanics, i.e. the Dirac equation.
