Description including Unit Aims

This unit enables students to carry out more complex laboratory and field investigations, including the use of observational and survey techniques. Students are also given training in the use of equipment to make physiological measurements. The unit consists of four blocks of laboratory classes, each block composed of three 3-hour classes of which the third laboratory class is for student Presentations, including instruction in presentation techniques. This unit has the following coursework: four mandatory laboratory reports.
