This unit is designed for students with A-Level or equivalent in Russian, though it may also be suitable for students with AS-Level or equivalent who have spent time living in a Russian-speaking environment. Students have four classes a week, which over a fortnightly cycle aim to consolidate and build on the skills and knowledge acquired in earlier study of Russian. Students will have classes devoted to reinforcing and deepening knowledge of grammar, developing translation skills from and into Russian and essay-writing skills, and oral and aural classes, including use of satellite TV and on-line materials. At least two classes a week are taught by a native speaker.
