Description including Unit Aims

This unit is a survey course providing an introduction to and overview of literature written in Spanish but studied in translation. The periods covered will be from the medieval period through to the present day in Spain and the twentieth century in Latin America. Offering a diachronic approach, the unit will provide a valuable framework within which to build in subsequent years and enable students to make informed choices about the areas in which they wish to specialise.
