This unit provides an introduction to the history of Spain and Latin America from the Roman period (pre-Columbian in Latin America) to the present. By focusing on the major themes in the histroy of both regions, this unit will provide a thorough foundation upon which students may build in the second and fourth years, and a valuable basis which will enable students to make informed choices about the areas in which they wish to specialise.
