Description including Unit Aims

This unit will provide an introduction to the two (equally important and interdependent) strands of the programme: creative writing and its therapeutic applications. Students will begin on their own writing while studying examples of writing that illustrate the links between creativity and healing. Theoretical approaches to the therapeutic uses of writing will be introduced and critically examined for their role.
