The objective of this course is to introduce the main phenomena involved in structural dynamics to introduce the use of variational methods in dynamics to introduce both analytical and numerical methods (FE ) traditionally used to solve dynamics problem to analyse the vibration behaviour of simple continuous systems (bars, beams and plates to give an introduction to experimental testing for vibrating structures.
