Description including Unit Aims

This unit deals with principles of hormone secretion and action, plus functions of and interactions between the various hormone systems of the body. Reproduction covers sexual differentiation, puberty fertility and contraception, pregnancy, birth and lactation. The unit includes a library-based project as well as practical laboratory classes to illustrate selected lecture topics.
