Description including Unit Aims

The unit follows the same core structure (about 90 lectures) as BIOC30100, but the specialist lectures (about 30) will cover biochemical topics of direct relevance to medicine. The specific topics will include diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer, while general aspects of protein function in disease states will also be covered.
