This unit explores animation principles, character setup and visual effects production. Professional software is used as a framework to introduce fundamental concepts. The syllabus includes: Conceptual Design - storyboarding, character development and motion planning; Animation - animation principles, keyframing, path and camera animation, SDK and expressions; Character setup - character controls, skeletons and kinematics, deformers and constraints; Dynamics and Simulation - soft and rigid bodies, particle and field effects.
