Description including Unit Aims

In DEAF10026 and DEAF10027 students learned fundamental receptive and productive skills in BSL, paying attention to acquiring basic vocabulary and learning the essential principles of BSL syntax and morphology. This unit will teach further vocabulary and more advanced grammatical processes. Revision of features already taught will be followed by further teaching of use of placement and location, verb structure (including classifiers), questions, pluralisation, negation and modulation. The unit will also explore expression of time and temporal aspect, case and role, and sign order.
