The Unit allows students to develop basic skills in the key technical areas of camera operation, sound recording, and editing, using appropriate professional hardware. The unit is based on structured workshops and exercises. As an important element in the foundation stage of the courses it serves, the unit provides students with the requisite skills base to proceed to project activity and/or more specialised instruction.
