Description including Unit Aims

This unit provides an overview of the economics of Globalisation and Development with particular focus on the problems facing Less Developed Countries (LDCs). Topics covered include economic growth, poverty and inequality, trade, debt, and domestic and international development policy. The unit does not assume any previous knowledge of economics. Some basic (GCSE level) Mathematics is used through the unit.
