The unit will consider the following issues: the recent history and development of European integration: the nature and objectives of the EU and the EC; the institutional structure and the law and decision making processes of the EC; the nature of Community law; the legal order of the EC; the relationship between EC and national laws; the role and jurisdiction of the Court of Justice; the protection of human rights in Community law.
