Description including Unit Aims

The unit aims to provide an advanced level of understanding of cancer biology and immunology topics at the cellular and molecular level. It involves study of four advanced topics selected from a list, including at least three Pathology Topics from Genetics & Development, Neoplasia 1, Neoplasia 2, Advanced Immunology, Immunopathology & Applied Immunology and Stem Cell Transplantation, and may include one from Medical Microbiology, Molecular & Cellular Bacteriology, Medical Virology, Frontiers of Virology (but excluding combinations that lead to other Programmes). The unit introduces students to handling and management of a research project.
