Description including Unit Aims

Aims for plasma fusion research; conditions for energy generation. Tokamak equilibria; ideal plasma stability. Classical and neoclassical transport; turbulent transport. Ion cyclotron resonant heating; neutral beam injection. Reconnection in astrophysics; continuum spectroscopy; particle acceleration; accretion disks; magneto-rotational instability. Solar atmosphere; solar wind; planetary magnetospheres.
