This unit considers the methods and problems of interpreting and analyzing certain one- and two- factor experiments commonly used in Psychology. This treatment includes both omnibus and fine-grained analyses associated with ANOVA and Trend Analysis. The unit also includes non-parametric approaches and the problems of assumptions and the robustness in ANOVA techniques. The material will be linked to practical work in PSYC21011. The unit consists of twelve 1- hour lectures which will include class exercises.
