This unit is about the role of illicit drugs/drug users and social policy. By the end of the unit you will be able to identify: the significance of those factors used to socially construct illicit drugs/drug users; theoretical approaches used to make sense of these socially constructed categories; the relationshhip between illicit drugs/drug users and social policy.
