This unit outlines some of the major developments in Christian theology from the Eighteenth Century to the present. Topics covered include the effects of the Enlightenment on Christian thought, theological liberalism of the nineteenth century and trends in twentieth century theology. In the case of major top-ics that can be studied in more depth at levels 2 and 3, students are introduced to ongoing scholarly de-bates and reinterpretations
