This unit will enable students to study 1. the background to 1914 Church of England; 2. the Church of England and War; 3. church/state relations and self-government; 4. spiritual and liturgical renewal in the Church of England; 5. the archbishops and other key leaders; 6. the anglo-catholic, liberal and evangelical movements; 7. Anglican apologetics and evangelism; 8. women in the Anglican Church; 9. the Church of England and social action; 10. the future of the Church of England.
