This module is about Christian leaders developing media competence through practical training and appropriate theological reflection. It seeks to look at the success and failings of the Church&s current involvement with the media in order to discover keys to good practice and constructive working relationships. As part of this, it will critically evaluate a number of possible options for Christians and churches who seek to participate in the opinion-forming role of the mass media. This growing awareness of the cultural importance and missiological opportunities presented by involvement with the media will be fostered alongside practical training in media performance.
