This unit enables a ministerial student to integrate their academic learning with their developing experience of ministry in a long-term placement. The student will write and collect a body of evidence which demonstrates their competence in various aspects of ministerial practice together with the theological and technical understanding necessary for continued development. The portfolio will cover a range of areas, including 1. leading worship and preaching, 2. IT skills, 3. leadership and strategic planning, 4. pastoral care, 5. education, 6. professional ethics and 7. the theology of ministry, The unit will require writing in a variety of forms, including theological reflection, magazine article, address, book review, education plans and worship material.
