Description including Unit Aims

This module will focus on the reading of specific New Testament texts, beginning with 1 John, with a view to developing translation skills and an ability to appreciate the grammatical forms and flow of the passages concerned. Attention will be given to particular grammatical and syntactical forms, in such a way that students will be able to summarize the major usages. The teaching will involve reading and discussing texts together, seeing how they work, learning vocabulary and grammar as we go along. As in all language study, learning is cumulative; each class building upon what has been learned in the preceding ones.
