This unit comprises the induction to the Year in Industry, during which the students are trained in laboratory techniques and Health & Safety procedures by the industrial partner, and become introduced to the scientific background to the proposed project. The student is a full-time employee of the sponsor company and is subject to the employer's standard terms of employment, including all secrecy agreements agreed between the company and the University of Bristol.
