Description including Unit Aims

This unit consists of laboratory classes in which students take part in a class demonstration experiment or work in groups on 'own-design' experiments. These modes of laboratory work will alternate on successive weeks during the unit. The methods used will follow those introduced in PSYC 11015, and the topics investigated will be derived from the contents of Level 1 lecture units. This unit consists of 24 3-hour laboratory classes in blocks of three, giving a total of 8 Laboratory Reports per student, and also includes four blocks of 3-hours instruction and practise in presentation skills.
