The unit comprises lecture courses in Advanced Inorganic Chemistry, developing selected areas of the subject from the base of CHEM20110. Material included provides coverage suitable for an Honours Chemistry graduate in areas such as the applications of spectroscopy, group theory and crystallography to the structures of inorganic compounds, and advanced aspects of the chemistry of transition and main group elements including organometallic compounds and homogeneous catalysis.
