Description including Unit Aims

This unit exposes students to a variety of methods and designs in researching society and environmental science. The main emphasis of the unit is the practical application of different methods in preparation for the 2nd-3rd year dissertation. The unit culminates in the design and peer review of a grant application outlining a research project that could be undertaken as a dissertation.
