This is an intensive language course designed to bring students up to post-A-level standard in one year. By the end of it, students should be able to write basic Portuguese, to read and understand modern literary Portuguese and to hold a simple conversation in the language. Grammar, practical group work and oral classes are distributed over four contact hours per week.
