The unit builds upon previous language units and the portion of the year spent in a Portuguese-speaking country to strengthen, extend and refine students' knowledge of written, aural and spoken Portuguese. It also introduces students to comparisons and contrasts between the Portuguese spoken in Portugal and the other forms such as Brazilian Portuguese.
