Description including Unit Aims

The unit aims to provide an advanced level of understanding of pathology and microbiology topics at the cellular and molecular level. It involves study of four advanced topics selected from a list, including two from Medical Microbiology, Molecular & Cellular Bacteriology, Medical Virology and Frontiers of Virology, and two from Genetics & Development, Neoplasia 1, Neoplasia 2, Advanced Immunology, Immunopathology & Applied Immunology, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Transplantation (but excluding combinations that lead to other Programmes). The unit introduces students to handling and management of a research project.
