Description including Unit Aims

This lecture unit explains the scientific principles underlying the methods used to investigate various aspects of individual and interpersonal processes. The unit will also introduce a range of statistical techniques appropriate for the analysis and interpretation of psychological experiments. This unit consists of 24 2-hour lectures (unit work will consist of essays and class tests. Class tests will be of Statistics and Experimental Methods). Four blocks of 3-hours will be allocated to instruction and practise in presentation methods.
