A survey of the development of Methodism from its origins to the present day with a focus on the development of Methodist theology and spirituality as well as institutional development and the social context. The unit will examine the legacy of the Wesleys and examine and reflect upon Methodist ecclesiology in the 21st century, particularly within the context of the ecumenical movement.
