Environmental Quality

Aims:

  1. Provide a knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological quality of water, land and air and appropriate standards for their treatment:
  2. Provide a knowledge of the possible environmental pollutants, the effects of these pollutants on the physical, chemical and biological quality of water, land and air.
  3. Examine ways of measuring pollution and measures to minimise its impact:

  1. Critically evaluate the relative impacts of various pollutants on each medium and the implications for cross media transfer:
