Description including Unit Aims

This unit reviews elements of English to include grammar, discourse, lexis, idiom, pronunciation and social English. It aims to develop the necessary linguistic competence for the academic and other specific modules which together with this module constitute the Pathway Certificate Programme. Balanced and rapid progression is pursued in all language skills to ensure effective communication and interaction in general English.
