Description including Unit Aims
Unit aims:
- To describe the common abnormalities in the fetal development of key body systems
- To describe the management of pregnancies with fetal abnormalities
- To describe and demonstrate monitoring and screening methods for fetal abnormalities.
Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of this module the student will:
- Understand what can be achieved in pregnancies with fetal developmental abnormalities
- Be familiar with routine laboratory techniques used in fetal medicine applicable to reproduction and development.
