This unit offers an introductory exploration of Czech history from the tenth to the twentieth century, concentrating on the following: Charles IV, Jan Hus and the Hussites, the National Revival, the creation of the First Czechoslovak Republic, the German occupation and the Communist period. No knowledge of Czech language is required for this unit.
