Description including Unit Aims

This unit introduces a wide range of backgrounds to the basic concepts of aircraft aerodynamics, flight performance theory and practice, and the principles of mechanics. The unit provides a basic introduction to the use of MATLAB in aerospace engineering. The unit also includes a general lecture programme, example classes and a practical design/build/fly project to encourage them to take a wider view of aeronautics.
