This Unit equips students with the skills needed to carry out protected species monitoring, habitat creation and environmental impact assessment. Topics covered include scoping and sampling, surveying techniques, the national vegetation classification, habitat restoration and impact mitigation. By the end of this Unit students should be able to plan, instigate and direct habitat management for ecological objectives.
